Getting Started With the NCCP

The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is here to help you be the best coach that you can be. When you take an NCCP clinic, you’ll gain football technical abilities as well as leadership and decision-making skills. NCCP training will open doors to new opportunities in coaching and in life.

Whether you're new to coaching or want to hone the skills you've already acquired, the CAC provides advice, information, and educational programs to help you succeed. Coaches help their participants reach for – and achieve – higher levels of performance, both on and off the field.

Before taking the field, we recommend first-time coaches take these foundational courses:

To get started, you need to open and account with "The Locker" operated by the Coaches Association of Canada.

The Locker maintains the records of a growing community of over 2 million coaches in Canada of coach training offered through the National Coaches Certification Program (NCCP) and its partners.

The Locker is also where the BCPFA and other affiliated sport organization will confirm your completed training and coaching certifications, offer sport - specific eLearning, schedule events, and generate reports

  1. Log in to the Locker

  2. Update your profile and email preferences.

  3. View your coaching qualifications transcript under the Certifications tab.

  4. Find available training events for your sport.

  5. Take online eLearning modules through the eLearning tab.

Additional coach training information, resources, and tips are available on www.coach.ca.
